Not much in known of Abstarak's early life, though at some point he met Aephorul and made a deal with him, which killed many members of his tribe. Despite this, he went on and formed the Triumvirate of Eminence alongside Brother Casugin and Rachater.

One day, Abstarak heard a report from Casugin, who had recently returned after observing a group that broke the seal on the entrance of the Sacrosanct Spires and navigated the first tower. Abstarak then dispatched Rachater to deal with the group, which ultimately failed.

Upon the group confronting the Triumvirate, they then engaged them in battle, with Abstarak using his offensive magic against the group. Despite putting up a tough fight, the Triumvirate was defeated, with Abstarak being the last to fade away, but not before revealing the nature of Resh'an's "Great Eagle" ability and what was done for him to use it to him, which later made Resh'an leave the group.
