Overview[]
The Botanical Horror is fought with Zale, Valere, Garl, and Seraï as the available party members. Garl's Hurl cannot be used against the Botanical Horror or any of its flower limbs.
While the Botanical Horror can be targeted at any time, its core flower is invulnerable until its 2 Top Flowers and 2 Bottom Flowers are disabled. After disabling these limbs, the core flower's weakpoint is exposed, and a 4-turn timer appears. If the Botanical Horror's HP is not depleted quickly enough, its limbs are revived with 3/5 of their max health, and the weakpoint becomes unavailable again. The process must be repeated until it is defeated.
The 2 Top Flowers can only use Quillshot, while the 2 Bottom Flowers can only use regular attacks and have Haste naturally applied to their timers.

The Botanical Horror revives the Top Flowers and Bottom Flowers for 3/5 of their max health (63 HP each for the Top Flowers and 53 HP each for the Bottom Flowers).
Main Story[]
After entering the Haunted Mansion, Headmaster Moraine instructs Zale and Valere to cleanse the ballroom and make their way to the gardens to defeat the Botanical Horror. Once in the gardens, the party must fight two separate battles with Boulbe enemies to get rid of the thorny vines blocking the path to the boss. Upon entering, candles light the room to reveal the Botanical Horror. Successfully defeating it clears the garden and completes Zale and Valere's part of the mission.
