Croube is an enemy in Sea of Stars. There are 4 variants of Croube: the blue variant found in the Coral Cascades, the Jungle Path, and the Sacred Grove; the purple "Wizcroube" variant found in the Abandoned Wizard's Lab; the singular green Croube found during the Bronze Rank of Dweller's Fall Arena, on the right; and the singular red "Wizcroube" found during the same encounter as the green Croube, on the left.
While the blue and purple variants have identical stats and movepools, the purple variant has a different XP table, providing worse XP compared to the blue variant from party level 4-10. The "Wizcroube" variant becomes extinct after all of its encounters are exhausted, though it is possible to keep some of them alive by avoiding the optional ones.

Croube is an orange-red crab creature with columns of sapphire sticking out of its back. It has a face that resembles a skull.
The Croube found in the Abandoned Wizard's Lab is a gray crab with columns of purple crystals growing out of its back. Its color palette resembles the colors found in the Abandoned Wizard's Lab.
Skills[]
The color of Croube affects its movepool, with each Croube having a regular attack and then one special move it can cast, though the blue and purple ones are interchangeable.
Regular Attack[]
Timer | Target | Strikes |

1 (blue, purple, green), 1-3 (red) |
1 party member | 1 |
A regular attack timer of 1 applies to all Croube variants, except for the red Croube encountered during Bronze Rank of Dweller's Fall Arena, which has a timer of 1-3. Croube approaches a single party member, then jumps at them, dealing damage with the crystals on its back.

Thunder is exclusive to the blue and purple variants and does not apply to either of the Croubes encountered in Dweller's Fall Arena. Croube jumps into the air and summons a series of lightning. Two lightning bolts strike on either side of a single party member, followed by a third one which hits the target.

"Displayed XP" is the data the game presents upon completion of a battle, and this value is derived from the internal XP multiplied by 2 then multiplied by the party level (internal XP * 2 * party level = displayed XP). If the player levels up, then the data presented in the "Displayed XP" columns of this chart becomes inaccurate, as the true displayed value is the sum of the internal XP multiplied among multiple party levels.
