The Dweller of Torment is a boss in Sea of Stars. It is one of several Dwellers, and it is encountered in Torment Peak.

Boss Fight[]
Overview[]
The first part of the fight is scripted with Zale, Valere, and Garl as the player's only available party members and the Dweller of Torment being unable to be damaged by any attacks. After 6 turns have passed, Seraï will bring the light of the eclipse into the chamber, beginning the second part and allowing the group to inflict damage to the Dweller of Torment. Garl's Hurl cannot be used against the Dweller of Torment or either of its arms.
The Dweller of Torment is comprised of the main body and its left and right arms. Locks can be broken by attacking not only the main body but also the arms. Disabling one arm prevents it from using its special moves, and it also lowers the health of the other arm down to 350 HP if it is above that value. Disabling both arms incapacitates the Dweller of Torment for 5 turns and makes the main body vulnerable to sun and moon magic until both of its arms are automatically restored to full health.

Belly Drop is only used when both arms are active. The Dweller of Torment leaps up into the air and slams into all party members. This attack will fail if one or both of the Dweller's arms are disabled prior to the attack.

Sonic Pain is only used when both arms are active. The Dweller of Torment roars loudly at all party members, hitting five times in a row. This attack will fail if one or both of the Dweller's arms are disabled prior to the attack.
