"I recognize Solstice Warrior vermin... Vermin which must be eradicated."
― Elysan'darëlle
Elysan'darëlle is a character in Sea of Stars. She is the corrupted form of Erlina and the final boss of the game's initial ending, fought at the Fleshmancer's Lair. Defeating her activates The Chronophage in the Moorlands.

Elysan'darëlle is a tall, feminine humanoid with red eyes, purplish-blue skin, and pointed ears. Like Erlina, Elysan'darëlle wears a horned headdress, a white diamond gem on her forehead, and pointed earrings. The horns of the headdress are now black, wider, and have additional spiked protrusions. In her overworld sprites and in the cinematic cutscene, the horns are coiled by her brown hair, though in her talk portrait, the horns appear fused to her head instead. Four orange pointed hair decorations pierce out of the main coil. She has a single off-white horn emerging from the top of her head, which is moved to the back of her head in her talk portrait. Her orange earrings have off-white dagger shapes.
Lacking clothes on much of her lower body, it is seen that her legs resemble those of a horse, with hooves and sleek black fur. She wears flowy, dress-like brown robes which billow around her body as she floats in the air. Covering her torso is a red dress-like garment, which darkens to black as it reaches her chest. The top of her back is exposed. Similarly to Erlina's design, Elysan'darëlle has long, detached sleeves over her forearms, though they are now made of off-white fur.
Personality[]
As Erlina's corrupted counterpart, Elysan'darëlle retains vestiges of Erlina's personality, her final wish and hunger for ultimate power. This is reflected by how she attempts to ruthlessly eliminate Zale, Valere, and the rest of the party. Elysan'darëlle has a disdain for Solstice Warriors, referring to them as "vermin," and she answers to Aephorul entirely. She is shown to be desperate for power, begging Aephorul for more when she is defeated by the party.
Boss Fight[]
Overview[]
Elysan'darëlle has two phases and is fought with Zale, Valere, Seraï, Resh'an, and B'st as the available party members. She has Haste naturally applied to her timer, though the crystal prison she can create via Crystal Touch does not have Haste.
During the transition to phase 2, all CP, ultimate bar, Lunar Shields, and Live Mana are removed, any knocked-out party members are revived, and the total the number of times they have been knocked out is reset, though HP and MP of the party members are otherwise retained.
Prior to the "Dawn of Equinox" game update, Elysan'darëlle's second phase had 3,000 HP rather than 3,500 HP.
Skills (Phase 1)[]
Regular Attack[]
Timer | Target | Strikes |
---|---|---|
1-3 | 1 party member | 1 |
Elysan'darëlle draws an arcane symbol in the air before sending it flying towards a single party member.
Telekinesis Crash[]
Locks | Timer | Target | Strikes |
---|---|---|---|
1 | 2 party members, 1 party member if two party members are knocked out |
1 each | |
Elysan'darëlle telekinetically grabs two party members and slams them against each other. If two party members are not available, then she instead telekinetically grabs a single party member and slams them into the ground.
The Pyramid[]
Locks | Timer | Target | Strikes |
---|---|---|---|
4-lock permutation, allowing for repetition, of | 3 | All party members | 2 each |
Elysan'darëlle forms a pyramid of fire around all party members using her prisms. The pyramid slightly rotates then returns to its original position twice in a row, damaging the party.
Skills (Phase 2)[]
Regular Attack[]
Timer | Target | Strikes |
---|---|---|
1-3 | Up to 3 party members | 3 different times |
Elysan'darëlle draws three arcane symbols in the air before sending them flying towards up to three party members.
Life Leech[]
Locks | Timer | Target | Strikes |
---|---|---|---|
1 | All party members | 1 each | |
Elysan'darëlle opens her mouth to absorb HP from the party, inflicting damage and restoring her HP by half of the total amount, rounded down.
Crystal Touch[]
Locks | Timer | Target | Strikes |
---|---|---|---|
2 | 1 party member | 1 | |
Elysan'darëlle freezes a party member in an icosahedral crystal prison and stops them from taking any actions. This attack cannot be blocked, and it ignores any Lunar Shields but does not destroy them. Along with being unable to perform any battle actions, the trapped party member cannot perform guards against regular attacks, though they can against Life Leech. They receive damage, healing, and Lunar Shields as a normal party member would.
Crystal Touch is immediately followed up by the locks of Shatter appearing on the trapped party member, and this crystal prison effectively functions as an enemy summon that acts independently of Elysan'darëlle herself who queues up other attacks. Any crystal prisons that are on the battlefield when Elysan'darëlle is defeated are automatically destroyed.
By taking advantage of the delay mechanic on the locks of Shatter, multiple party members can be trapped in crystal prisons caused by subsequent uses of Crystal Touch. However, due to potentially unintended behavior, a crystal prison can be cast more than once on the same party member, which overlaps Shatter's locks and timers and makes the overlapping crystal prisons indiscernible from each other when attempting to select an enemy target, and causes the cursor to be unable to select Elysan'darëlle's body as the main target.
Skills (Crystal Prison)[]
Shatter[]
Locks | Timer | Target | Strikes |
---|---|---|---|
1 | 1 party member | 1 | |
Shatter occurs after Elysan'darëlle uses Crystal Touch. Breaking the locks, or depleting the health of the crystal prison, will release the frozen party member, though if all of the locks are not broken when the timer reaches 0, Elysan'darëlle will use Shatter on them. She snaps her fingers, which breaks the crystal surrounding the trapped party member, instantly knocking them out, regardless of HP. This attack cannot be blocked, and it ignores any Lunar Shields, destroying them in the process.
If a party member happens to already be knocked out when Shatter's timer reaches 0 (which is possible by using the delay mechanic), then they take damage and remain knocked out, though due to potentially unintended behavior, their KO stars seem to disappear and their sprite remains frozen in shock until they revive.
Main Story[]
Elysan'darëlle is Erlina's corrupted form after falling for her obsession with power. She fights the party at the Fleshmancer's Lair in order to prove her place as Aephorul's lieutenant. After her defeat in the initial ending, she is killed by Aephorul. In the game's real ending, she is not summoned by Aephorul and thus survives. During the final vignette of the real ending, she is seen reuniting with Brugaves, who is now Barma'thazël.
