The engineer kids[1] are a group of characters in Sea of Stars. Led by Caël, the five of them are trapped within the time prison of Clockwork Castle, their bodies perpetually stuck as 10-year olds.

The engineer kids have the bodies of children, while their faces are wrinkly with age. They have outfits designed for tinkering with machinery, which are colorful and incorporated with features more typical of children's clothing.
