The hermit's appearance is unknown, as only the well can be seen. A glowing purple light emanates from it until the hermit receives their watch.

Main Story[]
The hermit living in a well exists inside of the well next to the Fishing Lake of the Abandoned Wizard's Lab. When spoken to, they request the party to retrieve their Golden Watch that was swallowed by a fish. If the party gives the hermit their watch, they express their gratitude by either creating a switch that unlocks the third crystal pedestal, creating a treasure chest that contains the Mage-Knight Armor, or creating a treasure chest that contains a Rainbow Conch, depending on if the player has already unlocked the previous rewards. Afterwards, the hermit no longer responds when the party attempts to speak to them again.
