The Phase Reaper is a boss in Sea of Stars. It is encountered in the Fleshmancer's Lair.

Overview[]
The Phase Reaper is fought with Zale, Valere, Seraï, Resh'an, and B'st as the available party members. Its first move of the battle is always Mirage, followed by Flourishing Death.
The Phase Reaper and its duplicates have Haste naturally applied to their timers.

The Phase Reaper teleports then slashes at a single party member with its energy scythe. If its eye flashes after it teleports, it does a delayed version of its regular attack.

The Phase Reaper uses Mirage as its first move of the battle, as well when it loses at least 1,925 HP. It summons two weaker duplicates of itself, which are only able to perform regular attacks. Any remaining duplicates that are on the battlefield when the Phase Reaper is defeated are automatically destroyed.
Only a maximum of two duplicates can be present, so if there is already one duplicate on the battlefield during the second instance of Mirage, then the second instance of Mirage will only produce one duplicate instead of the standard amount of two. The second instance of Mirage is skipped if both duplicates are present when the depleted health threshold is met.
Both instances of Mirage are immediately followed up by the Phase Reaper casting the locks of Flourishing Death.

The Phase Reaper forms an energy ball in midair and slashes a single party member three times before slamming the ball down onto the targeted member. If the targeted party member has 0 Lunar Shields, and if they do not execute any successful guards, and if their health is a multiple of 4 (8, 12, 16, etc.), this move knocks them out. Since the move does at least 4 damage, the move will also knock them out if their HP is anywhere from 1-4, even if they execute successful guards.
