Rockie, also known as the Salamander, is a character in Sea of Stars. She is Malkomud's pet salamander fought twice at the Wind Tunnel Mines. Her initial encounter as a mini-boss occurs shortly after collecting the Mistral Bracelet. In her latter encounter, she is accompanied with Malkomud, where the two combine into a formation called Malkomount.

The Salamander is fought with Valere, Zale, and Garl as the available party members. Her first move of the battle is always Salamanger.

While exploring the Wind Tunnel Mines, the party comes across Rockie, and a fight begins. After she is defeated, she flees, and Zale suspects that this is not the last time they will see her. Later, Rockie is found next to Malkomud, who is mad at the party for hurting his pet. He then engages them in combat alongside her.
