Compendium Description[]
Wyrd
Training Golem
Zenith Academy's steward, forged by a crafty Solstice Warrior centuries prior using clay from Mooncradle's magic soil. Wyrd helps new recruits demonstrate their understanding of the basics of combat strategy by shifting its barrier to request varying damage types, ensuring all lessons were properly learned. Defeating Wyrd in combat is the final step of training at the academy.

Boss Fight[]
Overview[]
Wyrd is fought with Zale and Valere as the available party members. Its first move of the battle is always Shuffle weakness: Physical, followed by a regular attack.
As a tutorial mini-boss, Wyrd's main gimmick is swapping its weakness to either physical, sun, or moon magic at random to teach about enemy weaknesses. In-game, Wyrd is treated as the same tier as a regular enemy, so on a New Game + playthrough, the Abacus and the Eye of Yomara will actually display its health value, unlike normal mini-bosses.
Skills[]
Regular Attack[]
Timer | Target | Strikes |
---|---|---|
1-2 | 1 party member | 1 |
Wyrd closes the distance between it and a single party member, then detaches one of its arms and strikes the target with it.
Shuffle weakness[]
Wyrd curls up while spinning its head, switching weaknesses between physical attacks, moon, and sun magic. This change is reflected in the color of its markings. Shuffle weakness activates immediately after it performs a regular attack, with no cooldown period before or after.
Energy Release[]
Locks | Timer | Target | Strikes |
---|---|---|---|
3 | Both party members | 1 each | |
Wyrd forms a ring of fire around itself, which then expands outward and strikes both party members at the same time.

"Displayed XP" is the data the game presents upon completion of a battle, and this value is derived from the internal XP multiplied by 2 then multiplied by the party level (internal XP * 2 * party level = displayed XP). If the player levels up, then the data presented in the "Displayed XP" columns of this chart becomes inaccurate, as the true displayed value is the sum of the internal XP multiplied among multiple party levels.
